Government
The Glen Echo Park Board of Trustees is comprised of five members, each of whom serves a two-year term without compensation. Glen Echo Park municipal elections are held annually on the first Tuesday of April. Two positions are elected one year and three the following year. There is no party affiliation associated with being a Board of Trustees candidate, and any adult who has established residency and has been registered to vote for a minimum of 12 months prior to filing for office is eligible.
The Board elects a Chair. Every Board member assumes specific duties, including Treasurer, Marshall, Housing and Streets Commissioner and Parks and Grounds Commissioner/ Webmaster.
The Village Clerk is a part time position paid position and is supervised by the Chair and offers support to Board members and residents.
The Board of Trustees meets monthly. Meetings agenda and meetings minute are posted on the website when available.
